As part of its initiative to bring eye care at home, Sharp Sight (Group of Eye Hospitals) has launched its state-of-the-art Mobile Application here on Wednesday. The comprehensive and powerful mobile app is power packed with many features that will enable end users and patients to live chat with their eye doctor, securely access their reports/ records, upload doctor’s prescription, manage appointments, test their own eyesight, find Sharp Sight hospital closest to their location, etc.
During the launch at its corporate office in Swasthya Vihar, New Delhi, ophthalmologist and Director Sharp Sight Dr Kamal B Kapur said, “The idea is to make use of the latest technology to significantly improve eye health of masses. The mobile app will allow people to perform many tasks such as checking their eyesight, or for that matter, booking or rescheduling their doctor’s appointment, or even live chat with their ophthalmologist- all this at a click of a touch and at the comfort of their homes or offices. The app is designed keeping ‘consumers’ and their convenience in mind. And, with many people adopting the digital mindset, we hope the Mobile App is going to be useful to our patients, especially the ones coming from rural settings and far-flung areas.”
The mobile application can be downloaded free from the hospital website or the Google Play Store. “At Sharp Sight, we have always believed in making people more aware about their eye health. And, I believe this Mobile Application is a step ahead as it will encourage and help patients to manage their own eye health and gain access to useful information when and where they need it. It’s like having all your eye information in one place,” said ophthalmologist and Director Sharp Sight Dr Samir Sud.
With Sharp Sight’s Mobile Application, consumers can definitely experience a new level of control as they won’t need to worry about carrying doctor’s prescription or other previous documents and tests anymore.
